As we approach the end of the year and the festival of Hanukkah, we invite you to watch our short video update. It highlights the hope and progress your support has made possible.
This year has brought both pain and promise. With the war in Gaza now behind us and hostages returning home, we stand at a turning point. At the same time, Israel enters an election year marked by internal division. In this context, our mission is more urgent than ever.
This past year, we have run 21 Siach Shalom groups, each with its own sphere of ongoing impact. Thanks to our deep connection and collaborative relationship with the President of the State of Israel and his team, we are uniquely positioned to run impactful programs that foster dialogue, healing and unity.
The recently announced 20-Point Gaza Peace Plan includes a vision for interfaith dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians. We see this as an important opportunity to advance the cause of peace. Siach Shalom has joined—and played a key role in forming—a coalition of organizations dedicated to this work, ensuring that interreligious dialogue is not just discussed but actively practiced.
To continue and grow, we call upon your partnership.
- The cost of sustaining each Siach Shalom group is approximately $11,000 (35,000 shekels).
- The cost of a training program for new facilitators is approximately $25,000 (80,000 shekels).
- Expanding our digital outreach—podcasts, videos, website and social media—requires approximately $50,000–$70,000 annually, including salaries for the dedicated staff who create and manage this content.
Your generosity enables us not only to build bridges in person but also to amplify our message online, reaching thousands more Israelis with content that promotes peace and reconciliation. And as we celebrate Hanukkah—kindling light at the darkest time of the year—we are reminded that even after a long and painful war, an opportunity to illuminate a more hopeful path forward exists.
